Eos, the rosy-fingered, yellow-robed goddess of dawn has always been sated and plagued by an insurmountable craving for beautiful mortals. One morning she espies from her lofty balcony a man on the top floor of a high-rise building who takes her fancy so much that she decides to win his attention. The man, however, turns out to be obstinately irresolute, and his kidnapping and seduction transpire to be a tricky enterprise. Eos is cast into doubt about her former powers. Her connections to the ›higher above‹ have long since been severed. Down below she has to make her own way, to depend on her luck and her glances, to seek refuge in tricks, wiles and stories if she wants to get what she is craving for.

»Eos’s Craving delightfully illustrates that: »Reinhard Kaiser possesses a courage reckless in Germany, that of wanting to entertain his readers.«
